Early morning homicide in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis Police officers are investigating a homicide early Saturday morning

Officers from the Third Precinct responded to 28th Street East and Hiawatha Avenue South on reports of a robbery in the area. 

When they got to the area they found a young male appearing to be in his late teens, not too far away.  The boy was seriously injured and was taken to HCMC by EMS where he later died.

 

 

Police are investigating if the victim is anyway connected to the robbery call.

 

Anyone who was around the area or knows any information is asked to call the TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).

 

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
