Police name woman hit and killed by vehicles

ORONO, Minn. -- Orono police say multiple vehicles struck and killed a 51-year-old woman on a busy road Monday night.

Lori Pauline Huddleston, of Orono, was killed about 8 p.m. Monday night while she was walking in the westbound lane of Shoreline Drive in Orono.

Police Sgt. Chris Fischer says investigators have identified up to four cars that struck Huddleston or were nearby when the she was hit and killed.

Orono Police Chief Correy Farniok says the rain may have caused visibility problems.  Farniok says there have been no charges filed and alcohol use is not suspected.
