The judge in Denny Hecker's divorce proceedings has ordered the disgraced auto dealer to pay his estranged wife Tamitha Hecker $7,500 dollars per month in temporary spousal maintenance.
In addition, Judge Jay Quam is requiring Denny Hecker to provide Mrs. Hecker and the couple's children with health insurance, and to reimburse her for all unreimbursed medical expenses.
In his brief, Judge Quam writes "If Mr. Hecker can manage to provide his romantic companion with 30 K per month, the court believes he can pay $7,500 (per month) to the mother of his children."
About Hecker's allegation his wife has inflated her budget to receive more money, the judge writes "At the same time he (Denny Hecker) is suggesting that Ms. Hecker has inflated her $10,000 per month budget, he claims that his monthly expenses are approximately $24,500 per month. And given the money he has spent over the last four months since filing bankruptcy, he appears to be living much larger than that."
With his ruling, Judge Quam chose not to give Denny Hecker another chance to provide more information about his financial situation, a request that the judge has made at least twice previously. Quam is demanding that Hecker appear in court again December 10th to show why he should not be held in contempt of court.
Hecker filed for bankruptcy this June, claiming $18 million in assets and $767 million in debts.
