INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. -- A semi-truck rollover caused a busy ramp onto Interstate 494 to be closed Wednesday.
The truck rolled over around 11:25 a.m. Wednesday on southbound 52 heading onto eastbound I-494. No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the incident.
MnDOT says the ramp will remain closed until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
MN State Patrol spokesman Captain Matt Langer says the truck was pulling a trailer containing sodium hydroxide, a hazardous chemical. It took some time to get hazmat cleanup crews in place.
The State Patrol says crews were cleaning up the spill into Thursday morning. The ramp finally reopened just after 2 a.m.
