LOS ANGELES -- They both retired, one mounted a high profile comeback, and the other will soon follow in his footsteps.
We are speaking of in-limbo Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, and soon-to-return-to-late-night host Jay Leno, who will chat Favre up on March 4.
Favre's appearance was recently listed on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Web site, a coup for Leno as Favre has been hesitant to do media this offseason.
The indecisive QB recently posted a letter on his web site thanking Minnesota fans for their support and the memorable 2009 season. He did 'not' say whether he will return next season, despite a contract that promises to pay him 13 million dollars.
An article on Yahoo Sports.com describes the upcoming meeting between Leno and Favre this way:
It should be awesome. They can talk about how they're both unable to exit a job gracefully, how they both hate the idea of stepping aside for someone younger, and they can both give tips on how to be disingenuous and loathsome throughout the entire process. I expect that Leno and Favre will get along swimmingly.
