BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Bloomington Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting at an apartment complex that left a knife-wielding man dead Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 2:45 p.m. at a complex at 92nd St. and Lyndale Ave. S.  Authorities were called to the scene on a report of a domestic stabbing.

A male victim was transported to a hospital and after he was transported, an officer became involved with a male suspect.

The officer shot the suspect who died at the scene.

Authorities say the assailant had two knives when police arrived.
