MINNEAPOLIS -- Students at Augsburg College are holding a 24-hour rally to support global human rights.
"Can we stand for young people around the world who are getting brutally treated, beaten by police, arrested, raped, silenced, humiliated, and displaced, if not kidnapped and murdered," organizer Ibrahim Al-Hajiby said in an email to KARE 11.
The event started at 10 a.m. Thursday and will conclude Friday at 10 a.m.
Event organizers say candles will be lit throughout the night, starting at 8 p.m. Thursday.
