ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A man called a person of interest in the murder of a St. Paul mother was taken into custody in Miami, Florida on Wednesday.
St. Paul Police investigators plan to travel to Miami in the coming days to speak with the man about the death of 27-year-old Megan Sheree Neely. Authorities believe the 31-year-old suspect had a previous relationship with Neely.
Neely was found dead inside a home in the 400 block of North Milton Street on Monday.
According to police, relatives first became concerned when Neely did not show up for a planned function on Saturday. Officers searched the home that night, but found nothing out of the ordinary. They went back on Monday and found Neely's body.
The Associated Press reports Neely was the mother of two daughters, ages 1 and 10.
The person of interest is being held in Miami on a Minnesota Department of Corrections arrest warrant.
