ST. PAUL -- Authorities have identified the woman found dead at a residence in St. Paul Saturday morning.
St. Paul Police say the victim was 32-year-old Carolyn Leete, an acquaintance of the suspect who is being held in connection with her death.
According to a police spokesperson, officers responded to a 911 hang-up from inside a home in the 800 block of West Minnehaha Avenue just after 6 a.m. Police found the body of the woman inside.
A short time later, officers working in the area discovered a man matching the description of someone believed to have information about the incident. The suspect appeared to be trying to leave the area in a taxicab when officers located him, according to police. He was taken into custody for questioning.
Investigators continue to piece together what may have taken place including the nature of any relationship between the man and the victim.
The cause of death will be released by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
