CROOKSTON, Minn. - The Polk County sheriff's office says someone set the shed fire that killed a horse near Crookston over the weekend.
According to the sheriff's office the State Fire Marshal's office ruled the early Friday fire was arson.
The blaze killed a quarter horse stud named Bandit.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that a reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for the identity of the arsonist.
Crookston firefighters got the alert just after 1:30 a.m. and arrived to find the 40-foot-by-120-foot shed on fire.
