GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Now that summer is winding down and the pace of life is picking up, you're probably looking for some no fuss, no fuss dinner ideas.
Registered Dietitian Chere Bork joined us today with some easy solutions to keep everyone happy.
Here are a few of her tips:
1. Getting those veggies in can be a problem, even if you're a vegetarian! Check out Garden Lites frozen soufflés that are gluten free and vegetarian and have 2 servings of veggies in each one for less than 200 calories.
2. Eating out can be a nightmare when trying to find a place to please everyone. Look for somewhere that can customize so everyone is happy. Qdoba makes everything fresh in front of you so it's easy to get what you want. There's something for everyone whether your diet is gluten free, vegetarian, or dairy free--or maybe even all three! Check out websites ahead of time to look at nutrition info as well as allergens if there are certain things you need to avoid.
3. Have lactose intolerance? Watch for hidden Lactose where you wouldn't think of it: omelet, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, cream sauces. Cook with lactose free milk for entire family--it won't hurt anyone to have lactose free milk in dishes. It tastes the same and no one will know the difference. Also available: lactose free cottage cheese and yogurt.
