LADYSMITH, Wis. - It's been 10 years since a powerful F3 tornado swept through Ladysmith, causing $20 million in damage.

WEAU-TV reports that residents are recalling how thankful they were that no one was killed in the storm.

And they also remember how the community came together to clean up.

Former police Chief Norm Rozak remembers organizing a massive relief effort, and recalls the volunteers who came to help.

Meanwhile, a mural made for the town of Ladysmith is finished, and stands as a symbol of how far the community has come since the storm. Many buildings in town are either new or remodeled - so the city has a new look.

Sunday marks 10 years since the tornado.
