MINNEAPOLIS - Investigators are reviewing surveillance tape, hoping it will help identify a suspect in an overnight stabbing near an Light Rail Transit (LRT) station.
Police were called to the scene near 5th Street and Nicollet Mall about 2 a.m. after Metro Transit dispatchers received a call of a man down. When they arrived officers discovered the victim suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.
The man was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), where he is now listed in stable condition.
Metro Transit spokesman John Siqveland tells KARE 11 that it appears the man was not stabbed at the Nicollet Mall transit station, but went there seeking refuge from his attacker.
At this point police have made no arrests.
