GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Olympian Carrie Tollefson, one of the most decorated distance runners in Minnesota history, plans to make her marathon debut at the 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Oct. 6.
This morning, Carrie stopped by the show to tell us more.
Three generations of the Tollefson family plan to run in Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend events - from the Diaper Dash and Toddler Trot at the Medtronic TC Family Events, to the TC 10K and TC 5K, as well as the Medtronic TC 10 Mile and the marathon itself.
With less than six month to go until the starting gun fires for the 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, the field for the 12,200 runner event is more than 50% full. The 32nd annual event which runs from downtown Minneapolis to the State Capitol in St. Paul is set for Sunday, Oct. 6.
