GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Each year in the United States, over 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. That's why the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center's team of experts has written an essential guide to breast cancer.
"The Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Book," available online and at retail stores nationwide, is designed to help women and their loved ones better understand the disease, make informed decisions regarding their care, and cope with the emotional and physical effects of diagnosis and treatment.
This morning, the book's medical co-editor, Dr. Lynn Hartmann joined KARE 11 News at 11 to tell us more.
Mayo Clinic's proceeds from the book will support medical education and research at Mayo Clinic. For more information, visit www.MayoClinic.org.
