GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - 1963 was a turbulent year that marked a turning point in America's battle over civil rights.

"Revolution '63" is an original play that looks back 50 years to
experience the march on Washington, the Birmingham bombings and the assassination of a president.

The young actors of Youth Performance Company (YPC) are in rehearsal now for the original show that will debut in the Twin Cities February 1.

Co-Director Jay Scoggin and cast member Joneesa Ross stopped by KARE 11 News at 4 to discuss the show, the challenges of reliving that painful period, and what audiences can take from the effort.

The show runs from February 1 - 17 with all performances taking place at the Howard Conn Fine Arts Center, corner of Franklin & Nicollet, Minneapolis.

Check out the YPC website for details.
