GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Heart Disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. But when you think of who might be at risk, a 37-year-old fit woman who is training for a marathon, would not be your first thought.
However, that is exactly what happened two years ago to Jennifer Thorson. A heart attack also happened again this year.
Her only risk factor was a family history of high cholesterol.
She shared her story of survival on KARE 11 News @4.
She attended last year's Go Red Casting Call at the Mall of America and won to become the local 2013 Go Red spokesperson.
