MINNEAPOLIS - Almost 40 years after he created a sensation by bringing his art to the Twin Cities, many works of the late Andy Warhol are coming back to Minneapolis Aria for a special exhibition.
Amelia Mandersheid from Christie's appeared on KARE News@4 to talk about the exhibition that is free and open to the public.
The exhibit, called "Andy Warhol in Minneapolis" is being held March 16-23, 2013, at Aria, the industrial-chic event space in the heart of the Minneapolis Warehouse District. Aria is owned by art collector Peter Remes of First & First Inc.
The week-long selling exhibition will make available to the public a curated group of more than 50 paintings, photographs, prints and works on paper by the Pop Art superstar, including a selection of works originally featured in Warhol's 1974 show in Minneapolis. ariampls.com
