ST PAUL, Minn. - The unofficial kick off to summer is this weekend in St. Paul.
The 40th annual Grand Old Day is set for Sunday. Grand Old Day has grown into the largest festival in the upper Midwest, with 250,000 people expected to show up for music, food and more.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at Dale Street and will travel down Grand Avenue.

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifier round

Grand Old Day is also the 12th stop on the national Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest tour. Competitive eaters will have ten minutes to eat as many hot dogs as they can.
Eating starts at 11 o'clock Sunday on the Dixie's stage at 695 Grand Avenue. The winner secures a spot in the championship in Coney Island on July 4th.
