GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - If your kids love to swim, bike and run for fun, you might want to check out the MiracleKids Triathlon.
It is the largest fundraising triathlon for kids in the world. Now in its 10th year, nearly 2,000 kids between 7 and 17 are expected between the two events.
Race Director Tony Schiller and Ethan Grams, 7-year-old MiracleKids Racer and Top Fundraiser joined KARE 11 News at 4 to talk more about their adventures.
Races are Saturday, Aug. 3 at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis and Saturday, Aug. 17 at Lake Ann Park in Chanhassen.
Each participant races in spirit for a child being treated for cancer in Minnesota.
The MiracleKids Triathlon benefits the Miracles of Mitch Foundation, a 501c3 Chanhassen-based non-profit which helps children with cancer and their families.
Visit MiracleKids Triathlon to register to race or volunteer.
