Junk Bonanza at Canterbury Park to draw a crowd

SHAKOPEE, Minn. - The Junk Bonanza at Canterbury Park will get hearts beating a little faster this week.

The annual 3-day event, which runs Thursday through Saturday, includes more than 140 vendors of vintage and architectural antiques and draws bargain hunters in the thousands.

The fall Bonanza is a three-day, indoor event, September 13-15 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. It offers best-of shopping experiences from more than 140 juried "junk" vendors. Last year this event was attened by more than 10,000 people who took home their special treasures.

Friday of the Bonanza is "Lucky Friday," with thousands of dollars in hourly drawings and cash coupon giveaways from vendors and partners. Partners Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Etsy, the premiere online marketplace, will also have special demonstrations, and members of Flea Market Style will sign magazines.
