GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Free Bikes 4 Kidz is rolling into it's fifth year of collecting unused bikes, refurbishing them and giving them away to kids in need.

They've now become the largest dispenser of free bikes in the country.

FB4K Executive Director Terry Esau told KARE 11 News @4 that this Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., they hope to set a new collection record of 7,500 bikes.

Terry says people can donate gently used bikes (kid bikes, adult bikes, or tricycles) at 48 locations around the metro area and outstate MN.

For a map of the locations, go to FB4K or Allina Health.

Volunteer applications are now being taken to help clean and repair the bikes.

For more info and to register to volunteer, go to FB4K and click 'Volunteer.'

The bike give-aways will take place in December.
