MINNEAPOLIS - A trooper suffered minor injuries while arresting a man on Interstate 35 who, they say, was exposing himself.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, the Minnesota State Patrol received a report of a man on I-35W at Washington Avenue East. A trooper located the man, a 34-year-old from Illinois, and asked him to leave the road which he did.
About 45 minutes later, the patrol received a report of the same man on the road, in different clothes, exposing himself. The same trooper responded and attempted to arrest him. The patrol says the man started resisting and fighting with the trooper. A Freeway Incident Response Safety Team worker helped subdue the man. The trooper and FIRST worker suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for a mental evaluation.
