Penn State sex abuse scandal--a converstation

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- The disturbing headlines out of Penn State this week have a lot of people talking about how head coach Joe Paterno and his superiors handledthe allegations. This story raises a lot of questions, including when and how one should report sexual abuse.

This morning, Deborah Huskins, an area director for Hennepin County Human Services, and Warren Maas, executive director of Project Pathfinder, which treats child sexual abusers, joined us with some advice.

Maas recommends the organization "Stop it Now" as a resource for those wanting to learn more about the signs of child sexual abuse.

In Hennepin County, suspected child abuse reports can be made by phoning 612-348-3552. Callers can remain anonymous.
