PINE COUNTY, Minn. - After two years of searching, the family of a missing Sandstone man may finally have closure.

Last Saturday, a group of people from United Legacy was searching for Kenneth Scott Kleppen of Sandstone. The 22-year-old went missing on March 3, 2015.

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office says the search party reported finding human bones in a remote area of the county. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was called in to process the scene and the bones were transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office for analysis.

Although official identification has yet to be determined, a Facebook page operated by Kleppen's family recently posted an update stating, in part, "It is with our sincerest regret to inform you all that we have found Scott an angel and are in the process of bringing him home. We will be arranging a memorial service at that time."
