MINNEAPOLIS -- KARE will be live at the Fight For Air Climb Saturday morning at Accenture Tower in downtown Minneapolis.
The Fight For Air Climb is a fundraiser to fight lung disease. Individuals and teams will be climbing 660 stairs Saturday and will be timed using state-of-the-art chip timing technology.
Climbers were given a few different options for their climb.
- 30 floor climb: participants climb 30 floors to the top of the Accenture Tower beginning at 8:30 a.m.
- Ulitmate climb: climb 30 floors to the top as many times as possible between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Participants fastest time will be eligible for awards.
- Firefighter challenge: teams of four or more firefighters compete in their full gear (excluding their ax) beginning at 10 a.m.
- Virtual climb: new for 2013! For those who want to participate, but could not make it to the Accenture Tower are now able to tackle the stairs by registering as a virtual climber.
Haven't registered and want to participate? There will be same-day in person registration at the Accenture Tower Saturday morning, just be sure to get there early.
