MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- It's not every day that we get the opportunity to shop for the greatest deals and hottest buys and, by doing so, make a positive difference in the lives of local adults with cancer and their families. This year's second annual Angel's Attic sale was a place where shoppers were able to ensure that their purchases would make a lasting impact on people they may never meet.
Angel's Attic is a fundraiser with a touch of flair which featured a variety of unique items offered at exceptional sale prices. Items included antique furniture from many fine estates, more than 500 collectible plates and other china pieces, crafting items, high-end art pieces, electronics, new and gently used clothing, books, and much more. All proceeds went directly to the Angel Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing help when cancer strikes.
The Angel Foundation provides emergency financial assistance to adult cancer patients in active treatment in the seven-county metro area of the Twin Cities to meet critical non-medical needs such as mortgage or rent payments, food, utilities and transportation costs.
Margie Sborov, founder of Angel Foundation, is here with us today to tell us more about the foundation and how they are helping adults with cancer and their families live life well with stability, strength and resilience.
