Robert Foster, Food and Beverage Director for the Gold Nugget, will be joining KARE to show us his meatloaf recipe.
Recipe can be found below:
Meatloaf (3 servings):
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/8 tsp Tabasco
- 1/3 cup saltine crackers (substitute Gluten Free crackers)
- 1/6 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbls salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire
- 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cider vinegar
- 1/8 cup brown sugar-packed
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 cup yellow onion - minced
- 2 tbls oil
Sauté onion, garlic, and thyme in oil until soft
Let cool and set aside
Mix brown sugar, ketchup and vinegar
Set aside
In a separate bowl mix into parchment lined pan
Spread half of the brown sugar mixture over the top of the meatloaf
Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes
Remove from pan and spread the remainder of the ketchup mix over the meatloaf
Bake until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees
