ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Live boxing will take place in St. Paul November 17th for the KnockOut Hunger fundraising event.

Omega Presents has teamed up with JD STYLE Group and Kowalski's Market to fight hunger through food donations. Those attending the November 17th event are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to help keep Twin Cities food shelves stocked throughout the high demand holiday season.

Those who bring a food item to the event will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of many fabulous prizes throughout the night.

"Hunger is an ongoing struggle for one of every ten households in Minnesota. The winter holiday season is particularly hard for food shelves to meet the ever growing need for food." said Jessica Rochester, Advancement Specialist of the Emergency Foodshelf Network.

In addition to donations made at the event, Kowalski's has also committed to donating turkeys to families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.

KnockOut Hunger will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located on Kellogg Blvd East in St. Paul November 17th; fights start at 7 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m., and amateur fights will begin at 3 p.m.
