ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Emergency crews had to rush a 12-year-old student to the hospital Thursday morning after a "serious pool-related incident" at the St. Louis Park Middle School pool.
Police say just before 9 a.m., St. Louis Park dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call of a possible drowning at St. Louis Park Middle School, at 2025 Texas Avenue South.
A teacher had discovered the student in the pool at the end of a swimming class and performed CPR on the 12-year-old.
No other details of the incident have been released. And no additional information is available at this time about the student's condition.
Officials say they're "praying for the student, his family, and all staff and students at the school."
Because of the incident, St. Louis Park Middle School conferences, scheduled for Thursday evening, have been postponed.
