Joey Bongaarts loved to help people and he loved to bowl. When his life was cut short by an accident at the age of 21, Joey's family and friends decided to continue his legacy with a memorial scholarship fund for young people.
To date, this fund has awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships.
The 4th annual Joey Bongaarts Memorial Fund scholarship fundraiser bowling tournament is Saturday, March 3rd at River Lanes of St. Michael. Registration deadline is February 17th.
Open bowling begins at noon, with Cosmic Bowling at 6 p.m. and Moonlight Bowling for adults beginning at 9 p.m.
