Twins pay tribute to Yankees Derek Jeter

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins paid tribute to a future hall-of-famer before Saturday's game at Target Field.

The Twins presented shortstop Derek Jeter with the last second base used at the Metrodome.

The base was presented by Brian Dozier, who called Jeter his favorite player as a kid.

The final Twins game at the Metrodome came in the 2009 American League Division Series against the Yankees on Oct. 11.

Jeter went 1 for 4 in the game and batted .400 in the 3-game series sweep.
