CHISAGO COUNTY, Minn. - Remember that scene in Tommy Boy when the characters played by Chris Farley and David Spade hit a deer? Instead of leaving it on the road they decided to put it in the car.
That didn't turn out well.
On Monday night, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office received a report of a car versus deer crash on Interstate 35. The responding deputy arrived to find the driver of the car in the ditch, attempting CPR on the deer.
If you hit a deer 🦌 with your vehicle 🚘 we don't recommend doing CPR on it afterwards. That may have happened tonight. #wordtothewise— Chisago Co Sheriff (@ChisagoCountySO) May 23, 2017
Strange but true, according to a tweet from the sheriff's office.
The driver's efforts to resuscitate the deer were unsuccessful, and not something the department condones.
