Wild inks D Blum, F Schroeder

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Jonathon Blum on a one-year contract and forward Jordan Schroeder on a two-year contract on Friday.

Blum, 25, recorded one assist in 15 games with Minnesota last season and tallied 29 points in 54 contests with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound native of Long Beach, Calif., has notched 23 points (7-16=23) and 20 PIM in 106 career NHL matches with the Nashville Predators and Minnesota.

Schroeder, 23, collected six points in 25 games with the Vancouver Canucks last season and one assist in two games with the Utica Comets in the American Hockey League. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound native of Prior Lake, Minn., has recorded 15 points in 56 NHL contests with the Canucks the last two seasons.
