GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn--- We're grilling up Greek Feta Burgers in the backyard this week. The recipe comes from Marna Reed of Minneapolis. Reed says the surprise of a lamb burger is tempered by the beef. She also noted that the burger is not complete without the cucumber dill sauce.
Greek Feta Burgers
1 lb ground lamb
1 lb ground sirloin
10 oz. frozen chopped spinach
1 Tbl lemon juice
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 C. feta crumbles
1/4 C. chopped fresh mint
1-2 cloves chopped garlic
Combine all, and grill. Service with sliced tomatoes and cucumber
sauce. A good onion bun tops it all off.
Cucumber dill sauce:
1/4 C. plain yogurt
1/4 C. diced, cucumber
1/2 tsp. fresh dill
1 clove fresh, chopped garlic
