ROGERS, Minn. - A St. Paul Iraq War veteran received a special donation on Tuesday - a car that will help he and his daughters forge ahead with their lives.
Operation Homefront, a national group that helps soldiers, along with "Recycled Rides" made it possible for Jason Wanna to be given a car.
Wanna is in desperate need of the help, having recently returned home. He is a single father with five daughters.
The special gift was given to Wanna at the ABRA Auto Body and Glass in Rogers Tuesday morning.
"Recycled Rides" is a nationwide community service project in which members of the National Auto Body Council repair and donate recycled vehicles to families and service organizations in need.
In addition to the vehicle, Wanna also received donations from a number of ABRA's business partners, $1,000 in fuel gift cards and years of free oil changes and detailing.
