NEW PRAGUE, Minn. - The New Prague Public Schools superintendent says students are going back to class after a bomb threat that triggered the evacuation of two buildings Thursday morning.

The New Prague Area Schools posted a message on the district website alerting parents that authorities received notice of a bomb threat in the Middle School and the CEC building.

Superintendant Larry Kauzlarich says district staff received an email around 8:30 a.m., with a subject line that read "read or die."  The email stated there were bombs around the school and would blow up in 30 minutes.  

Kauzlarich says the email was signed with a middle eastern name.

All Middle School students were evacuated to the Ice Arena. Police searched the facility, found nothing, and gave the all-clear shortly before 10 a.m. 

The bomb threat comes one day after police say a student carried out a hoax involving a reported school shooting. All buildings across the district were placed in code-red lockdown status, and law enforcement from a handful of communities swarmed the educational campus in response to the alleged shooter.

The 12-year-old suspect arrested in the hoax is due in Scott County Court for a bail hearing Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
