ST. PAUL, Minn. - People confused about Minnesota's new health care coverage program now have a place to turn for answers about MNsure.
Executive Director April Todd-Malmlov announced the opening of MNsure's customer Contact Center Tuesday. The center will provide support for Minnesotans with questions about getting health care through the state's new health insurance marketplace.
Representatives will answer questions from individuals and small business owners on the Contact Center, guiding consumers through their health coverage choices.
"We make it easy for Minnesotans to get help from trained service representatives, to learn more about the choices they have for quality health insurance, and to choose the plan that is right for themselves and their families," said Todd-Malmlov. "This opening realizes an important milestone for MNsure as we approach our October 1 open enrollment launch date."
The toll-free number for the Contact Center is 1-855-3-MNSURE, or 1-855-366-7873. Assistance will be available in English, Spanish, Hmong and Somali, and representatives will connect callers who need help in other languages to an interpreter service offering more than 140 languages.
Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday throughout the open enrollment period, which runs from October 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
