ZION TOWNSHIP, Minn. -- A man died after he was involved in a farm accident in Zion Township Wednesday morning, according to police.
Stearns County officials say farm worker John Schoenberg, 69, from Greenwald, was struck by a large CAT front loader and was seriously injured.
Schoenberg was transported by ambulance to a Paynesville hospital, where he later died.
According to a police report, deputies learned that Schoenberg had been walking in an area near a silage pit not normally used by pedestrians and the driver of the CAT front loader was unable to see him.
The incident is under investigation by the Stearn's County Sheriff's Office.
