EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- A murder-suicide at an Eden Prairie apartment appears to be the result of a domestic dispute, according to the Eden Prairie Police Department.
The shooting occurred at the Eden Place apartment complex on the 8600 block of Magnolia Trail early Saturday morning.
Police say they went door-to-door and evacuated some residents after they were unable to make contact with the occupants of the unit.
According to authorities, when they entered the apartment, they found the body Anitra Williams, 26, and her husband, Derrick Williams, 29.
Police said that Derrick Williams took his own life after killing his wife.
Police records indicate one prior contact with Anitra and Derrick Williams. It came on a report of a verbal domestic dispute in October 2009.
Police are not seeking any suspects in the case.
