ST. PAUL, Minn. - A suspicious object found on the St. Catherine University campus on Friday morning was disposed of by the St. Paul Police Bomb Squad.
St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla said the object was cylindrical, similar in size and shape to a one-pound propane bottle. He would not say what police believe was inside the object.
Padilla did say that there was no evidence that anyone was trying to harm St. Catherine buildings, students or staff.
Another suspicious object was found not far away in Highland Park the morning of Oct. 28. Police said an old ammo box containing shotgun shells and bullets was left at Ford Parkway and Finn Street, but there is no link to Friday's incident.
