ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Xcel Energy Center announced Friday that Katy Perry's concert originally scheduled for Saturday, July 9 has been postponed due to illness.
The concert has been rescheduled to August 23.
"I apologize to my fans in Chicago and the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend, but I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!" Katy Perry said.
Perry is suffering from dehydration after a case of food poisoning according to the Xcel Energy Center.
She performed ill at Summerfest in Milwaukee Thursday night.
John Boler, vice president of sales and marketing at Summerfest, says Perry wasn't feeling well when she arrived. He says a doctor attended to her during the day and the performance.
He says she performed beautifully despite being sick.
All tickets purchased will be honored but refunds will be available at the original point of purchase.
