Couple found dead in Mounds View home identified

MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. - The couple that was found dead inside a Mounds View home Wednesday has been tentatively identified by authorities.

Mounds View Police Chief Thomas Kinney says 47-year-old Mark Schnor and his wife, 39-year-old Christine Schnor, were both victims of a single fatal gunshot wound.

The two were found Wednesday afternoon after police responded to a welfare check to the couple's home on the 2900 block of County Road 10.

Police say a handgun was recovered at the scene.
