BRAINERD, Minn. -- After being postponed for unfavorable weather conditions, one of the state's largest ice fishing tournaments is back on.
A permit has been issued for the Brainerd Jaycees' $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza. It will be held February 11 on Gull Lake.
Crow Wing County officials checked out the lake and found the ice was consistently more than 16 inches thick.
The tournament was postponed from last weekend because the ice was not thick enough.
