ST. PAUL, Minn. - We make no apologies for saying this up front --Minnesota Madonna fans in the mid-1980's were a fine looking bunch.

Madonna played St. Paul in 1985 in full on 'Desperately Seeking Susan' couture and then again in 1987 on the 'Who's That Girl' tour.

On Tuesday, Madonna announced a World Tour that will make a stop at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

We tracked down two fans from that 1987 St. Paul Civic Center show in Maplewood, Loretta Fleischhacker and Lisa Vineski.

"She put on an amazing show, an amazing show," Fleischhacker said.

And it was like a day hadn't even passed since they wore mile-high hair, bangle bracelets and tee-shirts they handmade for Madge.

"Oh wow just rocking out and having a blast," Vineski recalled.

Loretta and Lisa camped out all night at a St. Paul music store for those tickets in the summer of 1987, determined to spend top dollar, $30 to get in the first few rows.

They got their tickets plus a surprise early morning shower.

"At 3 a.m. the sprinklers came on and got all wet running around, got tickets in the second row and we were excited," Fleischhacker said.

Madonna's Xcel Center performance in November will not be in the same price range. Tickets go on sale Februrary 27 and will range from $45-$355.
