DE PERE, Wis. - Eight people stranded on the icy Fox River in De Pere have been brought to safety.
A call came in shortly after 7 a.m. Friday that the eight were stranded on the ice near Voyageur Park. Brown County sheriff's deputies brought a rescue boat to reach the eight, who were fishing on the ice.
WLUK-TV reports the eight were stranded after a large chunk of ice broke away.
