ST. PAUL, Minn. - A disabled St. Paul woman is virtually without a voice after the computer that allows her to communicate was stolen Friday.

Lynda Swenson, age 38, was severely disabled in a car accident back in 1979. She was able to re-learn how to communicate with the help of a special computer.

On Friday morning Lynda's mother was loading her into a car at the family home on 1600 Birmingham Street when she laid the Dynavox touch-talker, a device with a value of approximately $7,000, down on the front steps.

When Vicky Swenson returned to get the computer it was gone.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Lynda Swenson's computer, or who is responsible for the theft is asked to call St. Paul Police at (651) 291-1111.
