PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Joe Senser's Sports Theater in Plymouth has closed for good, blaming its woes on a bad economy.
A sign posted on the door of the sports bar and restaurant, located just off Highway 55 and County Road 24, said it was shut down due to a bad economy.
This is the second Senser's location to close. The Eagan location was shuttered in November, again blamed on the economy.
Just two Senser's restaurants remain. Employees who lost positions due to the Plymouth closing may be relocated at the operations in Bloomington or Roseville.
The sports bars are named for former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser, who is also a co-owner. The Sensers face more financial uncertainty due to the legal problems facing Amy Senser, who is charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the death of a Twin Cities chef.
The family of victim Anousone Phanthavong, 38, is suing the Sensers.
