ANOKA, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol says two pedestrians from Texas were crossing a Minnesota highway against a red light when they were both struck and killed.
The State Patrol says the accident happened Saturday about 9:30 p.m. in Anoka County.
A patrol report identifies the victims as 78-year-old John P. Nettelfield and 71-year-old Jean S. Nettelfield, both from San Antonio.
Authorities say the Nettelfields were crossing the two-lane divided roadway when they were struck and killed. An SUV struck both pedestrians, and a second vehicle struck a person lying in the road.
Neither driver was injured.
