ANOKA, Minn. - Authorities have confirmed that a body found in a wooded Anoka County park is that of a missing Coon Rapids man.

Thirty-one-year-old Alan Taylor was last seen Aug. 25. Visitors to the Three Rivers Park District found his body Tuesday about a mile from the Coon Rapids Dam.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy but has yet to release the cause of death.

Taylor was last seen when neighbors spotted him climbing into a passenger seat of a Pontiac outside his Coon Rapids home.

There had been no activity on his cellphone and his credit cards had not been used.

Family members told investigators Taylor had not packed for a trip. He had planned to start school at Anoka Technical College.
